Roadshow Rewind: Washington to Idaho
At the tail end of June, 100 car wash professionals gathered in Spokane, Wash., for the Western Carwash Association’s Washington to Idaho Roadshow. It kicked off with a welcome reception at a scenic wine tasting location on the Spokane River. Day two consisted of an enthralling keynote presentation from local entrepreneur Kevin Parker, which inspired attendees to develop culture within their workplace. Next, buses were loaded and car washes were toured across the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, region.
It will be a hard event to top, but WCA will certainly try with the upcoming Sacramento Roadshow and Annual Membership Meeting, taking place November 7-8, 2018.
Soak Up Sacramento this Fall at Upcoming Roadshow
What’s the ultimate way to mix business with pleasure? WCA’s upcoming Roadshow in California’s Capital City! The good times begin on November 7, with our Annual Membership Meeting, which consists of WCA’s Annual Awards Ceremony, dinner and education sessions. On November 8, we’ll tour car washes across the Sacramento region, and get an in-depth look into the way others do business.
The best way to become a better operator is to learn from other operators. Whether you’re a Roadshow regular or have never attended, this will be one event to add to your calendar! For more information and to register, visit www.WCWA.org/Events.
Self-Serve Summit Returns to the West Coast
In 2017, WCA held its first Self-Serve Summit, and it’s now back by popular demand! Join the self-serve car wash community on November 7, prior to the Sacramento Roadshow and Annual Membership Meeting, for a full day of self-serve education topics, a panel discussion, lunch and plenty of opportunities to learn from your fellow self-serve operators. This event is free of charge for WCA’s self-serve members. For more information and to register, visit www.WCWA.org/Events.

Why Join WCA? Advocacy, Resources and Connection
The Western Carwash Association exists to serve car wash operators across the west coast and the suppliers that support them. Here’s a look at the ways in which WCA serves the car wash community.
Advocacy
WCA monitors legislation in all 12 of our member states so that we can be in the know and take action on issues that could affect your business. Our Government Affairs Committee and legislative advocates have your back!
Resources
Members receive access to exclusive benefits at no cost, including annually-updated employee handbooks, safety manuals to remain OSHA compliant, weekly employment law updates and free legal consultation, quarterly educational webinars, quarterly Express magazine and monthly e-newsletter, and the annual vendor directory and calendar. Plus, members have access to exclusive insurance savings through the Western Carwash Insurance program!
Connections
An industry is stronger when it comes together. WCA provides opportunities for operators to meet and exchange ideas, and a marketplace for operators to connect with vendors. This is done at The Car Wash Show, Roadshows, and Regional Meetings. In addition to networking opportunities, these programs provide educational offerings to help car wash professionals become better operators. WCA’s Regional Meetings are informal gatherings of local industry professionals to get informed on a topic and exchange ideas. This year, Regional Meetings were held in Southern California, Phoenix and Denver. On August 23rd we’ll host our Utah Regional Meeting in the Salt Lake City area, and on October 11th we’ll host our Nevada Regional Meeting in Las Vegas.
None of these offerings would be available without the support of members. If you are a member, thank you! If you’re not a member, we encourage you to join. Your membership demonstrates your commitment to the industry and allows us to provide critical resources and services to the car wash community. You can join today at www.WCWA.org or by calling (800) 344-WASH.
