BY JOSEPH CHATEL, MCA PRESIDENT

Hello 2020! We at the MCA have started the new decade off with a bang. The Midwest Carwash Association (MCA) has partnered with International Carwash Association (ICA) in support of The Car Wash Show. The MCA as a regional association is faced with advancing the wash industry in the geographic Midwest and is proud of continuing its reinvention to better serve that purpose. Upon my appointment as your president, my sole objective was to build a better MCA and to serve its membership faithfully while building something we can all be proud of.

January 2020 was a step in that direction as we became stronger than ever in this partnership. Our members have the power to now enjoy everything a regional association has to offer with is regional peers all the while enjoying an international relationship with global industry leaders. The MCA has promised to be better and stronger than ever, and we have striven to make that ideal come to life. Our board of directors has left nothing off the table and has often thought outside the box to envision where its membership looks to see improvement. With this partnership in place, and with the ICA shining its light on the Midwest, the MCA is forming its foothold as a mainstay within the U.S. wash industry market.

I cannot say enough about the support and trust shown to me, and my vision, that I have received from our board of directors, support staff and loyal members. As an operator myself, I strive to make the MCA something of substantial benefit to all operators and vendors alike. Together as a team, we can wash better for our customers and better for each other. The trust we have all shown in the association is humbling and should not go unnoticed.

In 2020, please look for our regional events as points of destination to better serve you and your teams, starting with the MCA spring social event on the eastside of Michigan. I look forward to achieving a banner year of growth as a whole. The Midwest is a hotbed of the industry and the brighter we can shine a light on our region, the brighter we become.

I look forward to seeing everyone this spring! Stay warm and keep fighting old man winter!
