BY JOSEPH CHATEL, MCA PRESIDENT
This year has certainly been unlike anything we have experienced in the past. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a massive impact on our industry with wash closures due to state Executive Orders, lower sales and restrictions on our businesses. Through all of this, however, I continue to see the strength and resilience that is always present in our Midwest roots.
• Partnering with the ICA to increase the caliber of events offered to our members.
• Signing onto a class action lawsuit in Michigan to contest the constitutionality of the governor’s closure of carwashes.
• Broadening our visibility through updates to our website and a new Facebook page.
• Exploring additional ways to advocate for our members’ voices and increasing our lobbying presence within our geographical footprint.
We were so excited to see many of you at our annual golf outing on September 22 at Eagle Eye! Thank you for joining us!
One thing we all need to remember, and that’s that nobody and no entity has not been affected financially by the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to the future and continuing to increase what the MCA can do for the car wash industry in the Midwest with your support.
