Meet the Board - Gary Dennis

January 2, 2015

With 2015 well underway, I hope you are already enjoying a successful start to the year. For the International Carwash Association, this year will be exciting for a number of reasons – each connected in an important way to our mission of serving the professional car wash industry and our members.

April brings our return to Las Vegas for The Car Wash Show, the world’s largest car wash event. We are already on pace to have our largest exhibit hall in several years, but that’s not all that will be different. Based upon your feedback, we have reinvented our educational seminars and networking events to provide attendees with even more value. Our educational sessions will feature more retail car wash experts, coupled with marketing and management experts, in order to help make the connection between theory and practice. We are also introducing several new receptions, organized by type of business and type of attendee, in order to help you meet and network with your peers. Of course, this is also the first year of our partnership with the Western Carwash Association, and we are excited to welcome them into the industry’s premier event.

Later this summer, we will be hosting both our Supplier CEO Summit and our Wash Different Workshop in Nashville – the site of The Car Wash Show 2016. These events, and next year’s trade show, will all be held in downtown Nashville, one of the most exciting and dynamic downtowns in the United States. (Our 2016 show will be held in the new Music City Center, just blocks from Nashville’s famous entertainment district.) By showcasing our events in Nashville, we will continue to build momentum for our 2016 show in a venue that is substantially different and better than what attendees experienced the last time The Car Wash Show visited Nashville.

Then, in October, we will be hosting the inaugural Car Wash Show Europe in Amsterdam. We are already well ahead of plan in exhibitor participation and feedback from operators – in both North America and Europe – has been exceptionally positive. I can tell you from my own experience, the car wash locations we’ll be visiting, the products we’ll be featuring and the seminars and networking events we’ll be hosting will be truly mind opening. And, I promise, it’s just about impossible to not have a good time in Amsterdam!

Remember, as a member of International Carwash Association, you will receive two or four complimentary passes (depending upon your membership level) to The Car Wash Show and Car Wash Show Europe. I hope you will consider joining the many operators who are already making plans to attend.

Combined, we have planned for 2015 to be a year unlike any other for car wash operators and suppliers to learn, experience and interact – which is indeed the essence of association. I hope you’ll make your plans to be a part of these programs, and give us your candid feedback along the way.

On behalf of your Board of Directors and Staff, I wish an exceptional 2015 for you as well!

Sincerely,

Gary Dennis
