IMO Car Wash's decision to select WashTec as its car wash chemicals partner was based on WashTec's leading position in sustainability, international expertise and years of experience.
IMO Car Wash is owned by Driven Brands headquartered in Charlotte, NC. It is operating in over 717 locations in 13 countries across Europe and Australia, washing over 28 million cars annually. In order to achieve the goal of providing a high-quality car wash for customers with high-quality requirements at all locations and to ensure the quality of the service in each city, IMO Car Wash conducted an international tender for car wash chemical suppliers. WashTec prevailed over other leading suppliers in the tender.
What convinced IMO Car Wash of WashTec was the ability of WashTec to optimally match its car wash chemical products to IMO Car Wash's processes. Through this cooperation, the highest quality standards for cleaning and drying results can be guaranteed in the IMO car washes. As part of a comprehensive restructuring of its offering in line with new customer needs for sustainable services and the highest quality car wash at fair prices, IMO Car Wash decided to launch an international tender for car wash chemical suppliers.
This tender coincided with the launch of IMO Car Wash’s new corporate identity in December 2021 along with a 2-year rebrand, renovation and innovation plan. WashTec worked closely with IMO Car Wash to develop a consistent product range that meets all of IMO's sustainability criteria. Based on its proven and innovative Green Car Care wash chemical brand, WashTec offers environmentally friendly wash chemical products that are easily degradable and protect people and the environment.
In addition, these products are manufactured in efficient, environmentally friendly production processes that meet IMO Car Wash's high-quality standards. In addition, WashTec's high production capacity and professional logistics processes have ensured that IMO Car Wash has perfect network coverage and an efficient delivery concept in all countries across Europe and Australia. Thanks to its many years of experience and professional service, WashTec can guarantee weekly deliveries of car wash chemicals.
The changeover to WashTec car wash chemicals was carried out in a professional and efficient changeover process. Within a short period of time, all of the IMO locations across Europe were converted to WashTec car wash chemicals, with Australia following by the end of July. The strategic cooperation between IMO Car Wash and WashTec comprises a multi-year contract that was launched at the beginning of 2023.
