PHOENIX – During October, Super Star Car Wash raised $17,500 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona through the annual Paul’s Pay It Forward Car Wash event, hosted by meteorologist Paul Horton of news company Arizona’s Family. Super Star’s contribution to the campaign involved donations at Super Star’s 28 Phoenix-area location point-of-sale systems, donations directly from the company and company employees volunteering at a charity car wash event, which took place at Desert Ridge Marketplace in Phoenix from Oct. 18-22.
“This is our third year partnering with Paul’s Car Wash, and each year is better than the last,” said Jonathan Kierman, Super Star’s vice president of sales and marketing. “We hope to continue helping improve the lives of Arizona kids with Arizona’s Family for years to come.”
Last year, due to COVID concerns and restrictions around in-person events, Super Star’s fundraising took place at the company’s wash locations without the traditional five-day charity wash event at Desert Ridge Marketplace. This year, with in-person events resuming, the location fundraising happened in conjunction with the wash event.
The event featured TV news coverage, live music and other entertainment in attendance to help raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Super Star employees took part in volunteering to help wash the cars that came through, along with other local volunteer teams.
