Mike's Carwash presented a check for $70,287.14 to seven local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters on Friday, May 17.
The donation was a result of Mike's 10th annual Get a Wash, Give a Future fundraiser. Each year the company partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters for a one-day event and pledges to donate half the proceeds from every Ultimate and Works Wash sold at all 24 locations. This year's event was held on Saturday, May 11.
Year after year, the Mike's Carwash event is an amazing day for Big Brothers Big Sisters, said Deb Haas, marketing and PR director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati. Our Bigs and Littles, board members, local schools and businesses, cheerleaders and mascots team up to join Big Brothers Big Sisters and Mike's in this fundraising effort. The money raised allows us to match more children with mentors who help them reach their full potential. The event also allows us to spread the word to customers about the impact of mentoring and let them know the importance of their - and Mike's - donations. We cannot thank Mike's Carwash enough for this decade of commitment, generosity and support.
Thank you to all of our customers that came out to support our 10th annual Get a Wash, Give a Future fundraiser in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters, said Mike Dahm, president of Mike's Carwash. Our entire team looks forward to this fundraiser every year and we could not give back in such a big way without the support of the community, our team members and our customers!”
