Focused Carwash Solutions (FCS) helped Meadows Express Car Wash launch its soft opening celebration in Castle Rock, Colo., on Feb. 11. To kick off its opening, Meadows Express offered free car washes for six consecutive days.
Meadows Express features a 115-foot dual belt Tommy conveyor inside a 135-foot building, with equipment by Tommy Car Wash Systems. Meadows Express also features Eurovac vacuums, a reclaim system by PUR Clean, chemicals by Simoniz, and a point-of-sale system by ICS.
“Meadows Express Car Wash is located inside a covenant-controlled community in Castle Rock, Colo., and will be the only car wash allowed in the community,” said FCS President Aaron Green. “The Totally Tommy building and equipment package turned out fantastic! When combined with the Simoniz chemistry, the output is superb! And with 24 Eurovac vacuum spots and 2 Rhinomat mat washers, the inside looks as great as the outside.”
Meadows Express also features two fully digital pet washes with built-in water heaters so the dogs are comfortable and clean.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Meadows Express was able to remain open under a modified business model and washed over 12,000 cars this spring.
“Auto services are exempt under the stay-at-home order, as the sanitation of vehicles is a critical part of stopping the spread of the virus,” said Meadows Express Owner Chris Zuniga. “Vehicle surfaces, particularly doors and handles are commonly used surfaces that can spread the virus if not properly and regularly sanitized. Our car wash soaps sanitize the exterior of the vehicle and help break down the cellular body of any virus that may be present. Emergency vehicles, grocery/food delivery vehicles, and the vehicles of others operating in essential industries as well the vehicles of our customers that must drive to access food and health care must be sanitized to help stop the spread of the virus.”
With their WashNow app by ICS, Meadows Express is able to offer their customers a contact-free wash option where they can purchase a wash or membership from their device without cashier interaction. Although they had to temporarily close their vacuum stations, mat washers, and pet washes, they are now back open under strict cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
