International Carwash Association’s LEAD Car Wash Manager training program has been honored with the Brandon Hall Group Bronze Award for Best Association Professional Development Program.
“We are honored to receive this award recognizing the high quality of the LEAD program,” said ICA Chief Content Officer Claire Moore. “This training was designed to meet an industry need for consistent, high-quality car wash management training, and we are thrilled it has received recognition for achieving those goals.”
More than 350 locations and 2,600 learners are using the LEAD platform to become better car wash professionals. LEAD is the most comprehensive and effective training program for car wash managers.
Launched in 2021, the LEAD curriculum is based on a competency model validated by industry leaders. The online training platform allows companies to provide consistent, car wash specific training for supervisors through the regional manager level. Since its launch:
- 97 percent of users are highly satisfied with course content
- 96 percent of users like how relevant it is to their jobs
- 96 percent of users find it valuable in becoming a better manager

Entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives based upon these criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measurable benefits.
“Our award winners demonstrated the vision, agility and innovation needed to excel in the unchartered hybrid work environment,” said Brandon Hall Group Chief Executive Officer Mike Cooke. “We added and revised awards categories to ensure that we not only validate best HCM practices but also solicit and recognize next practices that set a high bar for everyone.”
