DEMA mourns the passing of former President and Board Chairman, Carl Deutsch, who peacefully left us on February 16, 2021. Carl was 92 years old and, until last year, remained on the company’s board of directors.

Carl helped start DEMA after graduating from Washington University as a young engineer and was instrumental in many of the first product designs, including the famous model 167 faucet proportioner.

In total, he served the company for nearly 70 years and his impact will be everlasting. He mentored numerous engineers during his 50+ years of active employment and cultivated customer relationships around the globe.

Carl will be remembered fondly by the many people he touched both professionally and personally throughout his life.
