The International Carwash Association will be celebrating the recipients of its highest honor with an exclusive celebration for all ICA members at The Car Wash Show™ 2023 in Las Vegas. Being held May 9, this special evening at The Show will allow attendees to mingle with both members and the inductees — Frank Dorsa and Manuel “Manny” Lozano —on the Level 3 outdoor terrace at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“Each year we get the incredible opportunity to celebrate people who have given of their time and their talents to make the car wash industry what it is today,” said Megan Clark, ICA vice president of membership. “It’s a tremendous honor for the award winners, and it’s a privilege to be able to honor them with this special celebration.”
“My dad is a previous Car Wash Hall of Fame inductee and I know how much it means to be able to recognize the contributions these great people make to our industry,” said ICA President Justin Alford of Benny’s Car Wash. “I’m excited to give this year’s honorees the recognition they deserve.”
Manny Lozano has been in the industry for more than 60 years and his washes are legend for being able to wash at extremely high volume as a full-service operation – turning out 400,000 cars a year. He spent time working with California Car Wash Equipment and later Dan Hanna in the early years of the car wash industry. Today, at 92 years old, he still works at the wash seven days a week.
Frank Dorsa and his family have been in the car wash industry since the 1960s and Classic Car Wash was one of the first car wash companies to franchise washes throughout United States and Mexico. Each of the washes has a unique theme (one is a river boat and another is a farm layout with real chickens), impeccable attention to detail, and employees who have been with the organization for more than 20 years.
The Car Wash Show™ 2023 will be May 8-10 and the Hall of Fame Celebration will take place May 9, from 5:00-6:15 p.m. An elegant outdoor event featuring high-end cocktails, champagne and hors d’oeuvres, it will be a valuable opportunity to network with your peers and toast industry legends as they receive the Association’s highest honor.
Since 1962, ICA has presented the Hall of Fame Award to car wash professionals, operators and suppliers who have made a lasting impact on the professional car wash industry.
