Favagrossa announced the acquisition of Brushcom. The Dutch specialist in car wash brushes will continue to operate as an independent brand under the Favagrossa flag.
Favagrossa Srl, based in Italy, produces industrial brushes for car washes and is the global market leader in the car wash industry. With this acquisition, Favagrossa consolidates its position in the market, while also expanding its catalog and commercial network in Northern Europe. Leonardo Favagrossa, CEO of the company:
“I am very excited about the synergy resulting from this acquisition," said CEO Leonardo Favagrossa. "Brushcom will help us target another market that is completely focused on high volume laundry equipment. Truly custom brushes designed according to customer needs.”
Brushcom, founded by Wim Muskens in 2007, aimed to supply brush material to car wash companies as an independent player. In 2024, Brushcom has grown into a leading manufacturer and European market leader in brush material for high-volume car wash systems.
“I am extremely enthusiastic about this new collaboration," said Roel Muskens, owner of Brushcom. "The car wash industry is undergoing rapid evolution. Car wash companies are successful and the number of locations and chains is growing steadily. Technical developments follow each other at breakneck speed. By joining forces with Favagrossa, with more than sixty years of experience and an impressive portfolio of more than thirty international patents, Brushcom is taking its growth ambitions to the next level.”
“Entrepreneurship is thinking ahead," said Muskens. "How do we remain relevant, innovative and able to continue to meet our customer's needs? This is a great challenge, especially given the increasing demand for (customized) brush material, especially in the US. Together with Favagrossa, Brushcom has more growth opportunities, innovative power and value creation to remain at the forefront in the world of 'express' machine car washing. This acquisition lays a solid foundation for the future.”
Brushcom has been a 100 percent subsidiary of Favagrossa since January 1, 2024. Roel Muskens remains ultimately responsible for Brushcom and the head office remains located in Oss. Brushcom will continue to operate as an independent brand under the Favagrossa flag.
“Our mission remains unchanged, in fact, together with Favagrossa we can do even better to provide the market with the very best brush material," said Muskens. "And as part of Favagrossa in the Brush World Group, Brushcom will instantly become the global market leader in the supply of brush material for car wash systems."
