Car washes are continuously adapting to the latest trends and developments. More and more car wash companies are focusing on automation and exploring innovations in technology, sustainability, the environment and digitalization. In the industry, there is a strong emphasis on customer engagement and customer loyalty. Providing a unique experience in the car wash is essential in 2023, and the possibilities of marketing and data seem endless.

The future of car washing

In addition to opportunities, the industry also faces significant challenges. Environmental factors play a crucial role: due to drought and water scarcity, water consumption in car washes is increasingly coming under scrutiny. How does the industry envision the future of car washing when less water is allowed to be used, but the washing results must remain consistently good? Additionally, every car wash sector has to contend with evolving laws and regulations. How are countries like Europe and the United States dealing with these challenges?

Other topics that will be addressed include changes within the chemistry of car washing and establishing a strong brand by offering various services. Additionally, discussions will revolve around finding skilled personnel during times of labor shortage in the job market and employing professional managers for a successful car wash operation.

Through presentations, roundtable discussions and interviews, speakers from the international car wash industry will share their insights. Some of the speakers who will be present include: Robert Andre from the U.S. car wash company Sonny’s, Eric Wulf from the International Carwash Association, Erik Stern from BOVAG, Alicia Cruzado from the Spanish Repsol Klin, Christian Walzel from Mr. Wash in Germany, Mack Ewing from Turtle Wax Pro, Reggy Cox from the Italian Ma-Fra, Stijn Schouterden from the Belgian BleuBlue, and Klaus Steiner from INOWA in Austria.
