Elite Express Car Wash, led by owner Ali Yusufaly, has launched a fundraising campaign to support victims of the recent devastating California wildfires. The initiative brings together the car wash community as well as local residents to provide essential aid to those affected by the fires.
The fundraising effort will support three key organizations: The American Red Cross, World Central Kitchen, and the LA Firefighter Foundation. Elite Express Car Wash and car wash air freshener company Air Freshener Marketing will match donations up to $5,000.
"To lose everything you've had in a moment is unnerving, and I feel like it's the least that we can do as a community to just make their lives a little bit easier," said Yusufaly. He and his family experienced the 2018 Woolsey Fire's impact first hand and on his community.
The campaign has received significant support from both the car wash industry and local community members, with individual contributions ranging from $5 to $1,000. Funds raised will help provide immediate relief for displaced families and support for first responders working tirelessly to combat the fires.
"The car wash community is still very small, and it's a community that supports each other,” Yusufaly said. “The response has been absolutely phenomenal, and I can't thank the car wash community enough."
The campaign came together rapidly thanks to car wash industry partners. "The guys from OptSpot who I work with for our text message marketing, they were amazing. I emailed them Friday night and Saturday morning they had everything ready to go for me," Yusufaly said. "They made the process easy and helped us get the word out. Within 24 hours, everything was live and going, and working well."
