Brown Bear Car Wash has donated $13,534 to Puget Sound Honor Flight, supporting the organization’s mission of transporting Western Washington veterans to visit military memorials in Washington, D.C. Family-owned, Seattle-based Brown Bear donated $1 for each of the 13,534 cars washed at its 26 tunnel wash locations during the Veterans Day observance. Over the past six years, Brown Bear has donated over $71,000 to Puget Sound Honor Flight.

Brown Bear also offered free “Beary Clean” car washes to veterans and current service members during the Veterans Day observance.

“We are honored to provide our area’s aging or terminally ill veterans with an opportunity, at no cost to them, to view and reflect at the military branch memorials in our nation’s capital,” said Brown Bear’s founder and President Vic Odermat, himself a former Marine. “It’s our way of saluting the sacrifices and achievements of veterans in the communities we serve.”
