Congratulations to Michael Trentini, the recipient of the 2019 Larry Harrell Scholarship. A Greensboro, North Carolina native, Michael graduated from Greensboro Day School and will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall.
Trentini spent his junior and senior years as an employee at Autobell Car Wash, also in Greensboro, and attributes a fellow employee, Matt Ryan, for teaching him a valuable life lesson.
“What I learned from Matt is about far more than welcoming me to the Autobell team; it’s about recognizing when someone feels like an outsider in any situation and making them feel welcome with kindness and a smile, he said. Ever since I met Matt Ryan, I keep my eye out for new employees at work, lonely students at school, or even my friends who are having a bad day, and I try to let them know that they aren’t alone, just as Matt did to me.
